Who Uses ‘Twitter’ in their Bio? Well 14,300 people do.
May 11th, 2009 by Jerell | Filed under Twitter.Wow have I been busy lately. My wife’s company SALUS that we founded is doing great, but I have been looking up and down for jobs using my MBA and PMP with no real results.
So this morning I wanted to start looking at people who had key words in their profile to help me with my searching and I cam across a post by Irina Shamaeva http://twitter.com/braingain) where she identified over 1,000 people who have the word “recruiter” in their bio on Twitter.
The first thing I thought was that it was a really cool post, and it got me thinking. What other words do people have in their bio.
What Bio words do you find interesting?

Hi Jerell,
Nice to see this post in response to the one about 1,000 recruiters. It would be great if you post a link to this in a reply to that post on the Boolean Strings.
Interestingly, you get different results on Google if you vary the number of asterisks in your string.
Cheers,
Irina

Hi Jerell,
I am so happy to see the personal approach and actual networking with other twitters that you are showing here. I know busy schedules do dictate that we use productivity tools to save time.
Personally, I use Tweetlater, which helps me stay organized and plan ahead for tweets. But I do know there appears to be a trend with many twitter members of simply accumulating a high number of followers, then placing their entire twitter process on auto pilot. Other than to make constant pitches for their products and services, which is probably automated as well, there is very little genuine interaction with their followers.
These type of twitter members to me, tend to diminish the value of social networking and its purpose.
Ditto..ditto when you say, let’s be more concerned with quality rather than quantity of followers, and being our authentic selves.
Nice post and I found the bio figures an interesting topic to discuss.
Have Many Blessed Days Ahead!
